Training and Practices

2024 Indoor Training

The Ottawa Ospreys RFC will launch 2024 indoor training sessions for all our members (new and returning) on January 10th for the 2024 rugby season. Indoor Training for 2024 will be held in a high school gym (Free) with Dome sessions ($5 per person) to prepare for the upcoming season.

2024 Indoor Training Schedule

Juniors (U14, U16, U18) and Senior Programs:

  • Location: OZ Dome: 221 Westbrook Road, Carp, ON K0A 1L0 (Dome Sessions – $5 per person)
  • Dates:
    • April 25, 2024 (6:15 PM – 8:15 PM)
    • May 2, 2024 (6:15 PM – 8:15 PM)
    • May 9, 2024 (6:15 PM – 8:15 PM)

Minors (U6, U8, U10, U12) Programs:

    • Location: OZ Dome: 221 Westbrook Road, Carp, Ontario K0A 1L0
    • Date: April 28, 2024 (Free Try-Rugby Event)
      • U6, U8, U10 (1 PM – 2 PM)
      • U12 (1 PM – 3 PM)

2024 Outdoor Training

The Ottawa Ospreys RFC outdoor training schedule for 2024 is listed below.  All training will be held within the West End of Ottawa from mid-May to August. Select programs participating in Fall Rugby training sessions will continue until the end of October.

What do you need for Practice?

Gym Training (Non-Contact): Please remember to bring your running shoes and wear the appropriate clothing (shorts, shirt, socks). Also, please ensure you bring water and a snack.

Dome and Outdoor Training: Juniors and seniors, please remember to bring your cleats, mouth guards, and the appropriate rugby gear (t-shirt, rugby shorts, socks) for contact training. Minors programs (U6, U8, U10) are non-contact training (running shoes and appropriate clothing should be worn). Minors Programs (U12) are intro-to-contact training. Please bring your cleats, mouthguards, and the appropriate rugby gear for contact training.
