Club Weekend 2026!

As some of you may know, there is nothing quite like Club Weekend. Over two-action packed days, Twin Elm Rugby Park was witness to our dedication, support, grit, celebration, and incredible turnout from players, families, and alumni. It was a true celebration of this club's love for the sport, our growth, and the unbreakable community we have built together over the years together.

The weekend kicked off on Friday, July 24th, with our Junior teams taking center stage. Our U16 Men set the tone early with hard-fought, high-energy performances that earned both squads well-deserved victories. On the U16 Women and U18 side, both Men's and Women's teams put up incredible fights in two deeply physical matches. Though they ultimately came up just short on the scoreboard, their heart and determination set the standard for the entire weekend.

The next morning, our Senior teams took to the front pitch with such electricity that they delivered the performances of a lifetime. Such performances were met with an overwhelming ferocity, as each senior team swept each of their matches to secure a clean slate of wins!

Beyond the victories on the scoreboard, Saturday, July 25th, marked a special milestone for our club's player development pipeline. Our Senior teams officially welcomed and integrated 7 graduating U18 players into the senior ranks. Every single athlete who stepped up to the next level made an immediate high-impact mark on the pitch. Seeing our experienced veterans play alongside our rising starts proved that the future of the Ospreys rugby is in exceptional hands.

The energy on the field was met tenfold by the energy on the sidelines. It truly was thrilling all weekend long! On Friday, Senior players and alumni filled the stands to cheer on the Juniors. By Saturday, the favour was returned as a massive crowd of Junior players, families, and generations of alumni gathered to bring the noise for our senior squads.

Off the pitch, our merch tent and giant raffle were buzzing all weekend long. This would not have been possible without everyone who bought tickets, as well as those who generously donated items. Our raffles
this year were in three distinct categories: Booze Baskets, Player Welfare Baskets, and Miscellaneous Items. Our Booze Baskets were valued at approximately $200 each, which could not have happened without the help of one of our sponsors, High Fives Sports Pub, alongside several generous club members. Our players welfare baskets, were three baskets filled with anything and everything a player may need before, during, and after a game. As for our miscellaneous items, a thank you goes directly to James Dube and Dani Smith for contributing a brand new charcuterie board set and card game, which were huge crowd favourites. Another thank you to our team of interns: Soren, Charley, and Annakha, for organizing, collecting, and putting together the raffles!

In the end, from early morning field set-up to final teardown - and every tackle in between - Club Weekend was a resounding success. An event of this scale simply doesn't happen with the dedicated volunteers, coaches, sponsors, and supporters working behind the scenes.

Thank you to everyone who made the weekend so memorable. We are already taking notes and can't wait to make next year's celebration even bigger!
